Product use

It is used as pharmaceutical intermediates, caffeine and vitamin B, oil soluble couplers for color films and raw materials for 502 adhesives.

This product is the intermediate of fine chemical products such as medicine and dyestuff. It is used to synthesize esters, amides, acids and nitriles. In Japan, it is mainly used as the intermediate of cyanoacrylate fast drying adhesive, for the bonding of automobile parts and household appliances assembly parts, and also for vitamin B6, synthetic dyes and other fields. 5-cyano-6-hydroxy-4-methoxymethyl-2-methylpyridine was synthesized by cyclization of ethyl cyanoacetate with methoxyacetylacetone and ammonia. 3-amino-5-aminomethyl-4-methoxymethyl-2-methylpyridine was synthesized by nitration, chlorination and catalytic hydrogenation. Further diazotization, hydrolysis and salification can produce microbactein B6.

Ethyl cyanoacetate is an intermediate for the preparation of diethyl malonate, from which 2-amino-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine can be prepared as an intermediate of sulfonylurea herbicide, insecticide fipronil and pharmaceutical vitamin B.


Storage Condition

Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidant, reducing agent, acid, alkali and edible chemicals, and it is not allowed to mix storage. Provide fire fighting equipment of corresponding type and quantity. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable receiving materials.
