Product use

It is used to make pesticides and as intermediate for organic synthesis. Used as an acidizing agent for starch adhesive. It is also an intermediate of dyes, medicine, pesticides, synthetic resins and other organic synthetic materials. In the dye industry, it is used to produce indigo dyes. Chloroacetic acid is also an important carboxymethylated agent, which is used to prepare sodium carboxymethylcellulose, ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid, etc., and also as flotation agent and color layer analysis reagent for nonferrous metals.  [ 13]

1. It is used to manufacture carboxymethylcellulose (CMC).

2. It is used to prepare intermediate of caffeine, adrenaline, aminoacetic acid, vitamin B6, and chlortetracycline in pharmaceutical industry.

3. Pesticide industry is used as intermediate for the preparation of dimethoate, naphthylacetic acid, thiocyanoacetic acid, isozyl ester, herbicide 2,4d, herbicide and herbicide.

4. In the dye industry, it is used to produce indigo and naphthalene amino acetate dyes.

5. Intermediate used for the synthesis of carboxymethylcellulose and analytical chemical reagent.


Storage Condition

Sealed, cool and dry, keep away from light.

Chloroacetic acid is packed in polypropylene woven bags lined with double-layer plastic bags. In the process of transportation, it should be prevented from direct sunlight, (rain, etc.) moisture, packaging damage. It should be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry place, away from fire and heat source, and separated from oxides, alkalis, inflammables and other articles. The shelf life under normal temperature is one year, and it is not suitable for long-term storage under high temperature in summer.
